SSPA provides assistance to our customers in the improvement of the hydrodynamic performance and the reduction in fuel consumption, thus maintaining the environment while saving costs.

SSPA offers optimisation of all hull types for merchant ships, from small fast crafts to ULCCs, as well as for surface naval vessels, submarines, and other underwater vehicles. The optimisation of a vessel includes the optimisation of appendages, energy saving devices and propulsors. The conventional propeller is the main propulsor used today, but SSPA also provides world class experience of super-cavitating, surface piercing, and contra rotating propellers, as well as thrusters, POD propulsors and waterjets.

Based on calculations, simulations, results from tests, and experience, predictions of performance and guidance for improvement are given as a basis for further optimisation.
